Below you will find biographies of New Signature’s senior leaders.
Christopher Hertz is the founder and CEO of New Signature where he leads the company’s customer-service-oriented culture, sets the company’s long-term strategies, and works closely with customers on a wide range of strategic engagements. He is a cloud industry expert who has presented in the US and Europe and has been quoted in dozens of publications including Time Magazine. Under his leadership, New Signature received the 2010 National Capital Business Ethics Award, ranked on the Inc. Magazine as one of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies, and ranked by CRN on the Next-Gen 250 list of best small, innovative and nimble business and technology integrators. Christopher holds a master’s degree in business administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a dual bachelor’s degree in information management and technology and anthropology from Syracuse University. He holds fourteen technical certifications from Microsoft.

David Geevaratne is the co-founder and President of New Signature. He helps set and execute the firm’s strategy, directs sales efforts, and provides subject matter expertise to customers. He was recognized as a leader in the IT industry by being named to CRN’s 2012 “30 in Their Thirties” list. Prior to New Signature David was the director of technology operations at Public Sector Media and earlier in his career co-founded Netstar. David attended Washington College with a dual focus in both English and Philosophy and a minor in Computer Science. He is an elite IT professional and holds four Microsoft Certified IT Professional and eleven Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certifications. He is also a CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer and Microsoft Certified Trainer. He is a member of Microsoft’s coveted Microsoft Virtual Technical Solutions Professional corp.

Dave Charlton manages the day-to-day operational activities of the corporation, guides corporate planning and development, directs New Signature’s public sector practice, and leads large customer engagements. Dave has more than twenty years of experience in leadership positions with established public companies and startups. Before joining New Signature, Dave was the chief technology officer of Santeon, Inc. and earlier in his career was the vice president of product development at InforMax, a global leader in commercial bioinformatics software. There, Dave was responsible for a multimillion dollar budget and all aspects of product development for the company’s award-winning line of desktop and enterprise software for biomolecular analysis. Earlier in his career, Dave launched a number of groundbreaking ecommerce ventures and produced market-leading technology for the retail industry. Dave attended Yale University where he studied mechanical engineering.

Jonathan Lamb directs all aspects of New Signature’s finance, accounting, treasury, risk management and compliance functions. Jonathan is a strategic partner and advisor to the CEO, and a member of the executive team that provides leadership on strategic planning, corporate development, human resources, corporate finance and business development. He has a unique ability to create synergies across various lines of business within an organization and foster a high level of internal and external customer service. He draws on more than a decade of progressive and comprehensive financial management experience to guide New Signature . Prior to joining New Signature, Jonathan was Controller of Enterprise Fleet Management’s San Francisco Group, a division of Enterprise Holdings. His nine years within Enterprise’s culture of outstanding customer service enables him to provide expertise and leadership in this area that helps to continue to drive New Signature’s growth and success. Jonathan holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Richmond.

Jenn Crenshaw is the Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for human capital strategy, practices, and policies of the organization. In this critical role, Jenn has a profound impact on New Signature by guiding the creation of the right organizational conditions and capacities for everyone to thrive in and drive individual, team and company success. She specializes in designing and managing systems in talent acquisition, talent development, total rewards and internal communications and culture. Jenn joined New Signature from Burger King Corporation where she spent nearly six years and served as the Vice President of Human Resources for North America. Jenn is a frequent speaker at professional events and conferences world-wide, and has made significant contributions to the science and practice of human resources. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Messiah College, and her Master of Science in Human Organizational Development from Villanova University. Jenn has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society of Human Resource Management since 1999.

Reed M. Wiedower is the Chief Technology Officer and is a visionary who drives New Signature’s technological research and translates these efforts into solutions that deliver measurable return for customers. Reed has championed New Signature’s Microsoft, cloud, learning and public sector strategies. He is responsible for ensuring service excellence to New Signature’s customers and manages multiple service delivery teams and large technology projects. Prior to working at New Signature he worked at the United States Department of Agriculture and JIL Information Systems. Reed graduated from Williams College with a double major in Political Science and English. He is a Microsoft Certified IT Professional on multiple platforms including System Center, Virtualization, Exchange, Lync and SQL Server, and is a Microsoft Certified Trainer as well as a CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer. He is a member of Microsoft’s elite Microsoft Virtual Technical Solutions Professional corp.

Alison Pine is the Senior Vice President of the Interactive Solutions division. She leads a team of highly-skilled engineers who focus on web and product design and development. Previously, Alison was the product development leader and account director at Synteractive, a Washington DC technology firm, working with Microsoft to design and develop their cloud strategy tools and methodology, as well as leading product development for start-ups. Additionally, Alison began her career as a consultant with IBM Global Business Services. In her seven years with IBM, she held numerous positions ranging from Project Manager of SAP implementations for Fortune 100 companies, both in the US and EU, to Associate Director for Growth Strategy in the Public Sector. Alison graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelors of Science in Supply Chain Management. She is a certified Scrum Master and an expert in SAP modules – MM and SRM.

Scott Mitchell is Vice President of Sales and leads New Signature’s high-powered national sales team that has achieved double-digit growth for the last nine years. He is responsible for expanding New Signature’s channel relationships and all aspects of the sales process including hiring, training, mentoring, managing and coaching sales teams. Scott has a strong track record of building and managing high integrity sales teams that deliver an amazing customer experience for fast growth private and public companies. Scott has a tremendous amount of sales, management and leadership experience from his 15-year career spanning the I.T. service, software and infrastructure markets. He joined New Signature after a 4-year tenure at Microsoft where he was an Account Executive for the Corporate Accounts group in the Mid-Atlantic region. At Microsoft he delivered double digit growth and was recognized on multiple occasions as a top contributor in the East Region. Previously, he was the Regional Sales Manager for Applied Information Sciences where he led and executed all aspects of marketing and sales for the Mid-Atlantic. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from University of Pittsburgh.

Tom Hoover is Vice President of Web Strategy at New Signature. His mission is to create value for our clients by developing online, social media and mobile strategies and providing guidance on industry changes and trends. Tom has 20 years of professional experience during which he has led numerous full lifecycle web engagements, several valued in excess of $1M. A strong advocate of user-centered design principles, Tom has crafted solutions for an extensive portfolio of non-profit, government, and commercial clients including: Teach for America, Discovery Communications, Institute of International Education, The Advisory Board Company, NASDAQ, Washington Post, the Association of American Medical Colleges, NatureServe / National Geographic, and The College Board. Before joining New Signature, Tom served as Managing Director and Senior Consultant at NavigationArts. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master of Science in Computer Science, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Matt Alofs is a Vice President at New Signature and leads a service delivery team focused on infrastructure optimization, unified communications, and identify management solutions for clients of all sizes. Matt also serves as a Microsoft VTSP, providing deep technical expertise on Microsoft solutions and acting as a technical evangelist for organizations seeking to get the most value from their IT portfolio. Prior to coming to New Signature, Matt worked at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology where he helped interdisciplinary research teams leverage technology to achieve their research goals. Matt graduated with honors from the University of Missouri at Columbia with a degree in English. He holds advanced technical certifications from both Comp TIA and Microsoft.

Emilio De Lazzari is New Signature’s Vice President of Engineering. Emilio has been leading high-performance engineering teams, working with customers and partners, and building businesses for over 20 years. He is a widely respected leader, ardent technologist, entrepreneur, and product developer who focuses on creating amazing user experiences. Prior to joining New Signature, Emilio founded EDL SOFTWARE SAS, which he founded in 1996 and was based in Pistoia, Italy. EDL produced software products and provided web services for small and medium sized businesses in Italy. Prior to founding EDL, Emilio was a system programmer and team manager at Scali Automazioni. Emilio earned his BA in Computer Science from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated with honors. Emilio also has a degree in Electronics from the Leonardo Da Vinci Institute of Technology and Industry. Emilio also taught computer science at the Istituto Statale Filippo Pacini. Emilio is fluent in English and Italian; he also speaks French and German.

Lisa Giannini provides strategic management for New Signature’s projects and leads multiple cross-functional teams throughout the project life cycle, beginning with requirements analysis and definition through quality assurance and delivery. She provides critical resource management and scheduling – forecasting needs, while optimizing resource allocation and deployment. Lisa also directs the firm’s process improvement efforts that help create superior business results. Prior to joining New Signature, Lisa was the Director of Curriculum Project and Production Management at Kaplan Virtual Education. Her 30-year engineering, production and project management career spans enterprise information portals, intranets, extranets, and e-commerce sites; C3I and weapons systems; bioinformatics applications; multimedia production; financial and grants management applications; CRM and data warehousing applications; and web-based training and PC game development. Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Jessica Givens acts as the voice of the customer at New Signature and directs efforts to ensure the firm delivers the best customer experience possible. She works continuously with customers to gather quantitative and qualitative evidence on customer satisfaction. Jessica then translates this feedback into actionable corporate strategy that ensures New Signature is performing at or beyond the customers’ expectations. Procurement of products and solutions for New Signature’s customers also falls under Jessica’s direction, including development of best practices, supplier relationship management and quality assurance. Prior to joining New Signature in 2004, Jessica worked for Northrop Grumman on contracts for the Department of Justice and the Federal Aviation Administration. During her four years at Northrop Grumman, Jessica won five awards for her outstanding performance. She holds multiple Microsoft certifications, including certification in Software Asset Management.

Brian Garback directs New Signature’s cloud strategy practice—leading a team of experts that work with the firm’s largest customers to evaluate, architect, deploy, customize and support cloud initiatives. He also manages development of New Signature products, services and solutions, and has helped transform the New Signature culture to be one of a Lean Startup. He is a cloud industry expert who has worked extensively with leading corporations, including Microsoft, to develop cloud strategy. Prior to New Signature, Brian cut his teeth at IBM as a business architect and IT strategist providing healthcare executives and higher education institutions actionable plans to realize their technology objectives. Brian holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia, where his research focused on cloud-based identity. He is a SCRUM Alliance-certified SCRUMMaster and an IBM-certified green belt in Lean Six Sigma.

Nathan Casaday directs New Signature’s efforts to develop and sustain strong relationships with New Signature’s customers and partners–learning about their needs and goals, and keeping them informed about our services and solutions. He utilizes his broad sales experience to develop new relationships, establish new channel partnerships, implement the appropriate training for sales initiatives, and manage the sales and service lifecycle. Customer service is Nathan’s passion and he who works tirelessly to align the entire firm around New Signature’s core mission: to provide the best customer service possible. Earlier in his career, Nathan worked as a contractor in the White House, first in the Communications Agency and then the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Immediately before joining New Signature, Nathan was a successful Realtor with Long and Foster Associates where he was named Rookie of the Year. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences and English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.

Damon is a Director and senior technologist at New Signature and has more than a decade of professional experience in information technology. Damon is responsible for leading many of New Signature’s highest profile internal and external projects. In his capacity as director, he manages customer communications and expectations as well as achieving budgetary goals. Since joining New Signature in 2006, Damon has played an integral role in the success of customers of all sizes, ensuring delivery of an amazing customer experience. Prior to joining New Signature, Damon worked for ten years at M2 Enterprises Inc, beginning as a network administrator and completing his tour there as the manager of technical services. Damon holds an Associates of Applied Science in Information Technology from Montgomery College as well as more than ten technical certifications, including eight from Microsoft.

James is a senior technologist who directs New Signature’s high-performance strategic project team. His team delivers pre-sales guidance, creates enterprise architectures that align customers’ IT portfolio with business needs, and executes projects that address customers’ most challenging business and computing needs. James joined New Signature in 2005 as a senior technical consultant. In this role, he was responsible for planning, designing, implementing and managing enterprise networks and infrastructures. He was quickly promoted based on his passion for technology, outstanding leadership, dedication to customer service, and technical skills. Before joining New Signature, James was an executive team leader for Target Corporation. James Banach earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Buffalo. He holds an impressive 27 Microsoft certifications, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Security, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security.

Mike is an enthusiastic senior sales manager with more than twenty years of experience selling technology solutions, devices and services. He leads New Signature’s sales and marketing efforts for the NY Metro district with a focus on developing and sustaining strong relationships with customers and partners. Most recently, he was the NY Metro Business Manager for ExtraTeam where he focused on selling Microsoft Lync and Lync Online solutions to Fortune 1000 and SMB companies. Earlier in his career he was a Senior Business Manager and Senior Account Executive for DynTek; Business Manager for the Office of the Mayor of the City of New York; Senior Account Executive at Corporate Technologies; VP of Network Security at 3BDigital; and founded Cosmos Consulting Corporation. He holds a B.A. from New York University and a M.A. from Hunter College.

Christine is a Market Development Manager at New Signature who exemplifies extraordinary customer service and commitment to helping our customers achieve success by solving their most critical challenges. She has more than a decade of experience as a sales and development manager with Fortune 500 companies in the technology sector in both the corporate and field environments. She is a resourceful, detail-oriented leader who is willing to go the extra mile to make our customers successful. Before joining New Signature, Christine was a Sales Director at Vocus where she coached and managed a twelve-person team of software sales executives, drove new sales, and managed progress using established performance sales goals and quotas. Earlier in her career she was a City Manager for kgbdeals, Inc.; Sales Development Manager for Sharp Electronics; District Sales Manager for Hewlett-Packard, and Territory Sales Manager for MarketSource. She earned her B.A. in International Affairs and Economics from Mary Washington College.
