Big Energy Map Launches
New Signature launched the Big Energy Map website (www.bigenergymap.org) today for the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). CNAS created the “Big Energy Map” of the offices and agencies in the U.S. government that will be important to transforming how the nation confronts these dual challenges. Energy security and climate change have emerged as two of the top national security and foreign policy issues facing the United States. In order for President Obama and his administration to implement a strategy for these challenges, they will need to have a clear picture of how the U.S. government is set up to make and execute energy security policy. -

TARP Tales Launches
New Signature launched TARP Tales (www.tarptales.org) for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) today.Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) created TARPtales.org to serve as a central repository for TARP information. The site compiles the latest news stories, reports, and congressional hearings related to TARP expenditures in one user-friendly location.
Following the recent failures of some of the largest financial institutions in the U.S., the Bush administration signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act into law in October 2008 and created the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP. Armed with $700 billion of taxpayer money, TARP has been charged with keeping banks and other big businesses afloat during the economic downturn. Since its inception, TARP has come under criticism for a lack of transparency, oversight, and effectiveness.

New Signature’s Red Staplers Participate in 4th Annual Dodging Diabetes Charity Dodgeball Tournament
New Signature’s team, the Red Staplers, dodged for charity at the the 4th Annual Dodging Diabetes Charity Dodgeball Tournament. New Signature fielded a team, and was an event sponsor, for the fourth year running at the event, which raised more than $9,000 for the Joslin Diabetes Center.Over 300 people (including the New Signature team pictured here) participated in the 4th Annual Dodging Diabetes Charity Dodgeball Tournament held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11 am at Champions FieldHouse in Rockville, Md.
Congratulations to The Medics for taking first place in this year’s tournament! House of Pizza gave them a run for thier money and took second place.
