insideIRAN.org is the ground breaking website that New Signature designed and built for Geneive Abdo, editor of insideIRAN.org, and the director of The Century Foundation’s Iran program. insideIRAN.org provides a new, and highly relevant, source for the latest news and information from inside Iran.New Signature designed and built the website in only a few weeks using the WordPress publishing platform. Our experts worked with the Century Foundation through New Signature’s development process. {analysis, wireframing, user experience design, programming, training, testing, and launch}.
The Century Foundation is a nonprofit public policy research institution committed to the belief that a mix of effective government, open democracy, and free markets is the most effective solution to the major challenges facing the United States.

New Signature Helps Launch CREW’s Most Corrupt Members of Congress Website
CREW’s Most Corrupt Members of Congress provides a detailed look at the unethical and sometimes illegal activities of 15 congressmen and women who have most egregiously betrayed the public’s trust. New Signature’s award winning design team have launched an improved version of the Most Corrupt website. In addition to the user experience redesign, New Signature has implemented a Drupal content management system and the jQuery JavaScript Library to power the website. The updated website features Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington’s fifth annual report on the most corrupt members of Congress.Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting ethics and accountability in government and public life by targeting government officials — regardless of party affiliation — who sacrifice the common good to special interests. CREW advances its mission using a combination of research, litigation and media outreach.

Foreign Policy Initiative Website
New Signature is proud to announce the launch of the new Foreign Policy Initiative website. The site represents a rich source of information on U.S. foreign policy and related news. One of the most innovative features is the FPI WorldWatch map, which provides readers with a quick insight into the most recent news. The heat map option offers a graphical representation of data that provides a quick understanding of what region is generating the most news in the last 24 hours, 72 hours, or 7 days.
This dynamic website also provides visitors with access to a wide array of resources, ranging from social media to multimedia. The site was developed using a combination of Drupal content management system, Adobe Flash, JQuery, and the Blueprint CSS framework.

Network Security Starts With Education
What often goes overlooked is the education aspect of network security, which is a shame, given it’s importance. There are three types of security access controls: administrative, physical and technical. Much of the glitz falls upon technical controls, such as fancy software packages that utilize complex algorithms to encrypt data. Less energy is often dedicated to physical security measures (fences, guards, locks) but their effect is never questioned, so most users understand their utility. As such, administrative controls tend to get both little respect as well as less attention. (more…)
